The launch of nileswan, the WS/WSC-compatible cartridge we announced last November, was delayed at the last minute due to unexpected issues. We are happy to declare that these issues have now been resolved and the launch can finally occur as planned.
The first batch will be available for purchase online via shop.49bitcat.com starting on Thursday, 12th of February 2026 at 16:00 GMT, for the same price of 85 EUR (excluding shipping, taxes and import duties). After this batch sells through, we hope to resupply the shop with some regularity in the coming months.
In addition, we’re happy to announce that, for the time being, nileswan orders will ship with an additional item - an included plastic protective case.
Throughout the past two months, we’ve had console enthusiasts and homebrew developers alike reach out to us. We can’t wait to see what nileswan will make possible in their hands.
